I'm the one who writes this blog. I'm 20 years old and live in Missouri. I love working with kids, writing, taking pictures and reading. I used to design costumes for Theatre in High School. I'm taking classes right now to become a real estate agent. I love being a Mommy. Noah is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Even though our journey is going to be bumpy at times I know it's worth it!
Steven
This is my fiance. He's 22 years old and also lives in Missouri. He enjoys watching movies, being outside, and fishing. He works harder than anyone I've ever met and is all around a funny, sweet guy with a big heart. He's 100% supportive and accepting of Noah's diagnosis. He loves Noah more than anything in the world. I couldn't have asked for a better man to share this special journey with. We've been together almost 4 years and definitely had our ups and downs but we've stayed in love and stuck together through it all. I'm absolutely crazy about him.
Noah
This sweet little baby is Noah. He was born September 28th, 2012. He has Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus, and Chari II Malformation. Even though he was born with a few special needs they will never define him. His lesion level is T-12. Which means his defect is in the thoracic (trunk) level of his back. It's the lowest vertebra in the thoracic region, however it's more severe than most cases. He has very very little movement/feeling in his lower extremities. He's had 5 surgeries total and has a VP Shunt. No matter what he still find a reason to smile.
Toby
I couldn't forget about our family dog, Toby. He's been our baby for 4 years now and will always be apart of our little family. Toby likes chewing on little chew sticks following Mommy and playing rough with Daddy. He loves having his picture taken and looking cute. Even though he's a little guy, he has a fearless and tough personality. He loves Noah and cuddling up next to him.
